TKM Verve Family Day 2022!
Reliving our Family Day 2022!
- Written by Teacher Esther
Oh, the excitement and anticipation walking through the tunnel into the theater, and then greeted by the game booths! Such fun games were thoughtfully organized by Lim Tayar, Kuvings, Swimin12, and SmartCoat. Witnessing the chaos of families and children gathering together was such a great view.
Bonds were developed and strengthened as families of the Verve branch mingled, exchanged stories about their children, and participated in the games.
I also really loved seeing how the children were so excited backstage! There was a mixture of performance cold feet and nervousness, but seeing most of them putting on their costumes excitedly, and just laughing and talking with their friends, was just so heart-warming for me.
I have always been an emotional teacher. When graduation came, I almost broke into tears putting on the robes for the graduating K2 children, and sending them up on stage. Seeing them all grown up and embarking on a new milestone is truly something to remember.
My heart was so moved hearing Teacher Natalie calling out the graduating students’ names, and listing out their ambitions. The love and care these children have for their community shows maturity beyond their age. Some wanted to be doctors and nurses, others policemen (& policewomen!), vets, and firemen. They really are Trinity Kids’ Super Kids.
Teacher Chin Ni, our resident K2 teacher, was so emotional herself. She said, sometimes she looks back at her students’ photos from when they were younger, her heart fills with pride at how much they’ve grown.
When I was given an opportunity to write this review of Family Day 2022, I thought it best to also ask our children about their experience.
I received so many responses about various favourite parts of the day!
“I love my little mermaid song!” -Little E, from N2 class
“I liked waving the flag. The Malaysia flag!” -Little T, from K1 class
Unanimously, all the children I asked told me how fun it was spending time with their families at the booth games!
